Please join me at the apartment on Saturday, June 15th from 6PM-9PM for a dinner, art auction and raffle by Fruitstitute, an artist-run fruit tree care and education company. Fruitstitute is the only fruit tree specific initiative of its kind in Los Angeles, bringing knowledge out of the orchard and into the gardens of homes throughout our city.

Your attendance will help Fruitstitute raise funds for The Fruitstitution, a free and open online database of fruit tree information and cultivation practices. The public site will serve as an encyclopedic resource for fruit tree history, recipes and traditional knowledge on fruit production from around the world in the form of podcasts, interviews and more.

As Del Vaz comes upon it’s 5th year anniversary, it gives me great joy to host an event which not only supports an artist-run initiative but also shares Del Vaz’s spirit of dast-o-del vaz, open hand and open heart.

Dinner will be prepared by Nina Anakar of Ziza Mediterannean, dessert by Chloe Chappe of Moonbeam Kitchen and cocktails by Beyond Fruit. Tickets to the dinner are $45 and can be purchased here. Space is limited.
